This is my first time using Flyer Talk. I am writing to ask all your expert advice on how to sell or trade United miles. My girlfriend has 240K United miles and I have 60K United miles. We were hoping to book 2 business class tickets with United, through the Star Alliance, using our miles to get from Chicago O'Hare to Tahiti (Papeete Int'l Airport) for a honeymoon. We were hoping to fly ORD-LAX-Tahiti. Unfortunately, it looks like the only way to use our miles is to go ORD-LAX-Aukland-Tahiti. This seems impractical since New Zealand is no where near Tahiti.

Could anyone please advise me how to trade or sell our miles so we can still fly business class on another airline (Air Tahiti?) to get from Chicago to Tahiti with as little stops as possible?
