Something like this is a double-edged sword.

If some FAs are going to toss WHQ under the bus so easily, in their moment of candor, I would appreciate an announcement that service in C or F will be reduced so the select FAs can either talk among themselves and/or chat with the off-duty crew members that come to the galley as well.

Yes, the cutbacks suck and I know the vast majority of FAs are good eggs and want to do their best. But there are just enough of FAs who take it upon themselves to cut back service, where it doesn't come from WHQ.

Again, I sympathize with all the front-liners and the crappy working environment. And I don't have a problem with letting pax know it might take a few more minutes to get their beverage, but in an environment where it's commonplace to blame another party for a fault (weather, ATC for a delay, for example), I think they could be a little more professional by saying it's going to take a few more minutes to get service ready and not reduce themselves to WHQ level.
