I admire your "stick it to the man" attitude and support the employees at United (almost) as much as you do, but this statement is entirely inappropriate and unprofessional. No matter what the staffing levels are, they shouldn't let it out on passengers, and this political announcement will only put more passengers against the employees.
I am unsure what statement you are referring to, but if you mean the one about working as a flight attendant, I hesitated before putting it down. Read my first post and I did say that the F/A's could have handled the circumstances better. Having worked as one, I do know it can be a very difficult, underappreciated job.
BTW - I enjoy the podcasts..
