i cannot believe you didn't take it. this happened to me earlier

bumped, got a dbcfree (still trying to figure out what to do w/it). i requested the later connecting flight via ord, they said no, they'll put me on the ns. i said okay. get to the nonstop (she mentionied she talked to the sd and he said to put me on the ns, presumably cuz i was 1k even though it was oversold), get to the gate and it's oversold - only by 1, i volunteer (sorry to the person who was on the list but didn't have status and he REALLY wanted the bump) and they put me on the connecting flight via ord. that agent was nicer and gave me TC's.
