Not necissarily. I flew EWR-DFW a couple years ago with my brother. We both got through security (seperately - 20 minutes apart) at EWR without being questioned. I had my ID and his BP and vice versa. We do have the same last name but very different first names and middle initials. No questions. No extra screening.
