I know, after emailing Emirates about the STPC, that my fare class is L. But now I'm curious... if I had specifically wanted Y, and been prepared to pay more if necessary, how would I have known that this fare was L?

I'm guessing that I only saw one price for the itinerary because I selected the "find cheapest fare" option in the search; but nowhere did it give the fare class, and even on my ticket I can't find anything that seems to specify 'L'.

I'm not bothered by it, I'm just curious
