Full fare ticket refundable AFTER check-in?

This might be stupid question, but I haven't been able to figure this out definitively.

What's US Airways' policy regarding ticket refunds if I've already checked in, but haven't boarded? Provided that it's a full-fare refundable ticket, is the only thing that matters whether I've boarded or not? Or does checking in for the flight instantly mean it's too late.

I'm thinking that the policy must be regarding boarding, since it's possible to miss a flight after checking in. But searching around the US Airways web site I haven't been able to confirm that anywhere. Anybody know where to find information like that?

In the contract of carriage, it states that "If no portion of the ticket has been used, the refund will be the amount equal to that paid minus any associated ticketing fees."

The problem is that I don't know "used" means actually flown or if it means checked in.

Any ideas?
