If it's the one that I'm thinking of, it's a new renovation of an old school (Don Bosco) about a block from Chinatown and the old Combat Zone.

Boston is quite compact. The Hilton is slightly further away, but I think you'd probably be more satisfied. Although I haven't stayed here (for obvious reasons), DoubleTrees have always seemed kind of hit or miss to me.
