No you're not being culturally insensitive. The people who stand on toilet seats to do their thing is. When my parents flew from KUL to PEK, they found feces on the toilet seat one hour into the flight.. Some people just are not used to sitting down.. They should learn how to.. or at least clean up after themselves. I assume they dont do this at home...(ie leaving it on the seat)
