On many AA flights I have heard the pre-boarding announcement, "for those of you with small children, or those just needing a little extra time to board, we invite you to pre-board as well". This always seems to be a general announcement and not in response to any specific passenger request. The phrase "those of you with small children, or those just needing a little extra time" has really stuck in my mind so I'm confident that I'm not misremembering this, and I fly AA almost exclusively so I'm sure I'm not confusing AA with another airline here.

Maybe someone else has heard a similar phrase used at pre-boarding?
