mrs. brp and I do. 100% own dime. Just because you choose not to do so doesn't mean it can't be done.
Besides, what does "how" someone attains status (own dime or company) have to do with anything? Status has perks. One of them is boarding early. Those without status should get {status, over it}. Take your choice.
