nice attitude. too bad it cannot be bought(attitude, not status)

i am now retired. i don't have a company buying tickets to fly me around, so i have no status. i did for years, when i owned a company and flew back and forth to europe in the front of the plane. most people who have status do not fly on their own dime.

i just flew dfw-iad on a dc 9 (md 80?). first class, platinums(?), and priority boarders most all had a large (many over legal sized) carryon, and a "personal" item that frequently exceeded the 22" spec.

by the time they got to us unwashed masses, the overheads were all filled, and we had to check carryon luggage.

was not ready for that, and my meds were in the carryon. i'm and older person(72) and carry items that are required for my functionality. a suitcase lost would be life threatening.

out of courtesy, i usually let the hotshots off first, but i think i just changed my mind about that. the responders to this topic are not nice people. they are young and have attitude.
