Aeroplan were VERY kind and got me on a flight on UA the next day and asked the hospital were the body was. AC offered standby 7K Y class that I canceled when AP saved the day.
Ok, I'm calling you out on that one. That's a crock.

AC does not offer bereavement fares between Japan and Canada for other reasons.

Which leads me to point out that if you really did work at the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo (or any other Canadian mission in Japan), you would actually *know* the reason why it is the way it is instead of making stuff up about AC and DFAIT/GoC employees (and you wouldn't say that AE cares about bereavement while AC doesn't).
