Why do people think the toilet seat cover slot is another garbage pale?
After completing dozens of overseas flights on AC's widebody fleet over the past few months, most in the back cabins, I have observed the foibles of today's air travellers. And it really irks me to continually observe things like:
How inevitably when I use the can after a few hours in flight, I will find the toilet seat cover slot stuffed with damp paper towels! Do most people really not know what these things are?
How many of those sitting in the rear of the cabin will stuff their huge bags into the overhead containers of the first few rows, before those passengers have a chance to even get on board (save for us elites who can pre-board, and thus observe this phenomenon).
One time, I was in 18B and some woman stuffed her large bag and a smaller one in the bin above me (I only had a small shoulder bag so there was room left by the time I settled in) and I assumed she was going to be my seat mate. But low and behold, she then headed to the back of the cabin where she took her seat...with every other bin still empty! So, when my actual seat mate arrived with his bags and found no space above or nearby, I just stood up and proceeded to remove the woman's bag and let him replace them with his. Of course, she indignantly stomped our way and demanded to know what I was doing. I handed her one of the bags and pointed back to where her seat was...
Petty I know, but there are a lot of these little things that one observes in the course of an 11-hour flight! How about those that irk you?
