Aborted landing on BD126 DUB-LHR today (19/05)
As per the title, as coming back from DUB today on the BD126, and after holding we came in for our approach, on the south runway with Terminal 4 on the left hand side, as we approached east to west. Right before we touched down the pilot rammed the power back on, the cabin crew then counseled that the captain would come on and explain what was happening... we climbed back up hard and headed out south. The captain then came on to say that they had aborted due the the weather (wind I presume) I looked back left and saw the next air craft behind us landing (so I wonder if the problem was something else). We headed back east and the north for another approach, I believe the second was on the north runway as I saw the concord in its new parking spot on the left, we did a short stop and pulled in to a domestic gate, where we were then bused from the rear door to the "Green Mile" baggage hall. Anyone else on that flight, or anyone know if wind was the reason?
