wiredboy10003, yes I did expect scuffing. Just not so ridiculously much so quickly.

moeve, yes I had one of the old shells as well - mine survived a horrible car crash (and 20 years of travelling). Should have never changed it.

pred02, yes these are the 4 wheel spinners. You are probably right.

Anyway, I'm getting a 'boring' Briggs & Riley for my next suitcase.
