We go once or twice a year. Gave up on the gambling part ages ago but the attractions for us include:
1. spend our evening at shows - Elton, Cher, Bette Midler, Donny and Marie (OK - maybe not D&M) (need to check Shuttle-Bored's membership card if he does not get excited about this) along with the various Cirque du Soliel shows
2. Very fine dining at probably at cheapest prices you will fine around the anyway around the globe - we did a 16 course dinner at Joel Robuchon. Le Cirque and Picassos are regular favourites for us
3. Designer shopping at mall and discounted prices
4. Great hotel rooms
