Along with going for a walk down the back to stretch the legs. I’ve in the past used such a stroll to remind myself of how lucky I am to be travelling up front.
As I walk through the Y cabin & stand for a few moments at the rear galley / loo area, I think back to all those years of travel & all those many hours sat with my knees buried in the seat in front of me & how I dreamed of someday being able to sit up front, but never for a second thinking I would get to do so.
After a few minutes pause, I take one last look around, say to myself, “you know Kered you really are a lucky boy today” & with that I walk back up the aisle & into the sanctuary of the forward cabins & settle down in my big comfy seat.
However, I find that on my more recent trips I tend just to stay where I am. Occasionally just hopping out of my seat for a while to stretch or visit the loo.
But writing this brings to mind once again just how lucky I am to fly the forward cabins on a regular basis these days. I’m off to IAD on Thursday in UC, so feeling somewhat nostalgic now, I think I’ll have to take a stroll, just to remind myself of how I dreamed for all those years.
