Just personally, I think it is in poor taste to leave your own cabin. The reason people do it, if they are honest with themselves, is to have a nosey at people in a higher cabin or to have a bit of a gloat at people who are in lower cabins. IMO, the curtains are there for a reason and they should be impermeable.
... erm, *or* some of us don't believe for one second that Y pax could care less that another passenger is coming from behind the curtain.
*some* of us feel a bit cooped up and would like a decent leg-stretch.
Nothing to do with gloating.... when I travel CW, I look more like a Y pax than a CW pax!
