Hi everybody- tried doing a search on this but to no avail. Please pardon me if there is a thread on this topic and direct me accordingly.

I'm a (lowly) Silver on Delta and need to book tickets to go DTW-DCA. When I book on the Delta web site, and click "Request Upgrade" as I'm typing in my booking query, the response is disheartening.

The only options that come up for this route are the NW-operated flights. Those are, naturally, what I want, as I want a nonstop flight. HOWEVER, in the upgrade column on the matrix display, it says upgrade request "Not Eligible".

Is this just a glitch in the system? I did double check and the fare class that was offered to me IS eligible, per the rules.

On comparable flights that I've booked lately BUT WITH DL-OPERATED FLIGHTS (such as DTW-ATL), the upgrade column always "Upgrade Requested".

Is this just a glitch in the system, and will I still be on the list for an upgrade to clear at the 24 hour mark for my flights?

Any input is greatly appreciated.
