OP, even when WN doesn't have non-stop service to certain destinations, they often have direct flights, which usually add no more than 45-50 minutes on the ground (and you will not miss a connection).

WN does not serve MIA but has ample flights to FLL/TPA/MCO/JAX. That's just my $0.02.
