I fly this route a lot... I would do SIN since there are some good connections from there. Garuda is relatively cheap in C and with a good product. (Don't listen to all the people who are going to diss Garuda in this thread!). SIN only has one or two AirAsia flights I believe and these are poorly timed with European arrivals. For AirAsia I would choose KUL.

Most comfortable (but expensive) are either SQ out of SIN or MA out of KUL.

You can go HKG but that leaves you with a 5 hour flight to DPS.
