Resurrecting and old thread here, because I'm not sure if this applies to award stays. Does it?
I'm staying at a Cat 1 hotel (10K) which is pretty nice. However, the AC doesn't work. I called the front desk and they sent the maintenance guy. He admitted there was a problem between the wall thermostat and the unit controls (not working right) but got it working temporarily. I got back to my room late a night and it wasn't working.
I fiddled with it for a bit and it worked for about 10 min. Now it isn't working again, and the only way it works if I push a different button on the unit from hot/cold every other minute or so.
Do I have a right to get a free night back?
