The main questions here are weight and battery duration. In terms of weight an electric toothbrush is just not effective for travel. I have a Braun model (former top of the line) It is now three years old and the battery holds a charge for 15-20 2 minutes brushings. So that will last between one and three weeks depending on how often you brush. When it was new it held at least 25-30 brushings.

My GF has a AA battery operated Braun. I once used it. It's not bad at all. I have no idea how long her rechargeable AAs hold a charge. Weight is about the same as my brush.

Even though I'm a big electric toothbrush fan, I use a normal brush for travel. If you have the right technique and a good brush, the teeth will feel just as clean.
