My last trip in 2E they demanded that I place my passport with my laptop so they could X-Ray it. I told them (in french) that I never take my eyes off my passport and refused. Got a great 10 minute extra special search of all my belongings as payback for my refusal.
.....I decided to take a direct flight to Rome and back. It's a wee bit pricier, but I won't have to worry about CDG and the pain in the arse security!
