Go to Poipu for the weather for one thing.

Otherwise, I was at the Sheraton Poipu for a week in February with my wife. For 60k for 6 nights, we were upgraded to an ocean front ground level room that was perfect.

Call the hotel in advance in your most friendly voice possible and explain how much you love the hotel, are plat and have a child and they will be very accomodating.

I have been to this hotel twice and in comparing stories with friends who stay in Princeville, they typically always wish they stayed in Poipu where the sun shines.
