I too stayed there recently and registered for this promo and only received 1000 QFF points.
I was going to call Qantas to ask what was up, but is this a query more properly taken up with HHonors as you guys seem to have been doing? And have the points finally posted after following it up with them or is there some sort of period after which they will post?
FWIW, I was mostly impressed with the hotel too - location and construction surrounding will be a problem for some time, but the hotel itself was nice. I agree about the service being a little bit weak, but it's new and appropriately priced, and they were kind enough to upgrade me, so I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt for now.
