people with these sort of piercings are not usually shy retiring types, (someone had to see it to pierce it after all),
From memory, she had had a belt on that had set off the WTMD/magnetometer and then had to be wanded as a result. This was a few days after the no hand luggage rules were put in and staff were a bit more keen than normal.

I've been randomly selected because even though the machine didn't beep I was a foreigner in the US. I was wanded all over - then asked if I had any metal on me and then patted down, and then asked why my hand luggage had not managed to get my hand luggage off the end of the Xray belt sooner .
