If actually arrive shortly after 6 AM and want to have as Diamond , breakfast first---would that change your actual time you need the room?
Lots of good suggestions. I s/w with the manager on duty yesterday, who advised the only way to guarantee that I have a room at 6am is to book the room for the night before and receive the late check-in. Then he said they could "work something out" regarding the late check-out on the back-end. Frankly I didn't find it very reasurring at all. I am still trying to work out the plan in my mind, but think I am just going to book another night even though techinically I won't be using any of the rooms for more than 14 hours, the number of hours just spans 2 different days. I have to have a room for my mother when we arrive at 6am, there is no question about it. The rest of us can rough-it if need be. On the other hand, it would be nice to have a room to relax in until our flight leaves the evening of the 6th. I hate to burn the points, but I didn't leave the conversation feeling very warm and fuzzy with them accomodating me. Maybe because I am using points. Also, I did not retain Diamond this year, need to change my profile.
