I had absolutely zero metal on me going through T5 South a couple weeks ago - watch, belt, shoes removed and everything out of the pockets (keys, mobile, wallet etc.). No other jewelry. But the scanner still beeped, which leaves me thinking it was either the random check (which the security chap said it probably was) or the metal zip on my trousers...
