In general, Time Shares are not for everyone and are of questionable economics.

I would strongly suggest you visit the Time Share Users Group, TUGNet. The folks there are the real experts on Time Shares. They are the equivalent of FlyerTalk for TS users. It costs about $10-15 to join (you can participate in the BBS for free), but if you are considering spending $11K, then.....
