Park Tower is my regular London haunt

Personally, I do not really find Park Tower decor to be particularly appealing to me (I categorise it as 'nice but not 'that nice''), but I like the overall package best out of all London Starwood properties* because it is in a very good location for my purpose. Most of my London trips are for going shopping in Knightsbridge and for the opera/ballet at the Royal Opera House.

*Lanesborough doesn't count to me because it's non-SPG - if I want to go non-SPG, I stay at the Dorchester.

Although Piccadilly Circus is better for accessing Covent Garden, and having the tube station right nearby is very convenient, I do not find the environment around Piccadilly Circus particularly nice. Park Tower is in a nicer environment (shopping heaven for me at Harvey Nichols and Harrods...) although a little less convenient for tourists, I guess. Having Foliage nearby (at the Mandarin Oriental) wins me a bit too

However, I catch taxis a lot of the time (except when it is difficult to catch a taxi after the performance - I find catching a taxi near ROH is difficult enough to send me to the tube) and I do not notice the problem.

I've never stayed in a non-renovated room at Le Meridien at Piccadilly, so I can only comment on the renovated room which is actually quite nice (a bit 'sparse' and lacking in warmth for my liking though), but I prefer Park Tower to LM's renovated room in terms of the interior.

I find Park Tower to be quiet (but I only ever stayed at higher floors so I can't say for sure about lower floors). I did not have any recollection of noise problems at LM either, although given its location, there is a potential for a fair amount of noise.

Lighting-wise, I have just found a comment that I wrote for myself that it was nice and bright at LM (bear in mind I've only stayed in the renovated room). I do not think PT is anywhere as brightly lit as LM. I'm one of those environmentally unfriendly people that love having 100w and 150w incandescent bulbs everywhere (on adjustable switches) so I am almost never satisfied with the level of lighting in hotels though.

In terms of the tube station, Park Tower is about one block away from Knightsbridge station (takes me just a few minutes to walk). Le Meridien is just about 20-30 metres from the tube station. Both PT and LM are on the Piccadilly line. In terms of transport, LM would be more convenient, I guess, and closer to some of the touristy spots.
