Kenya Safari (six free nights for two in Kenya) - 250,000 points, one night at the Hilton Nairobi, two nights each at the (formerly Hilton) Taita Hills Safari Lodge and Salt Lick Safari Lodge, then one more night at the Hilton Nairobi.
Includes all meals at the lodges, breakfast at the Hilton Nairobi and all transfers.
Is this worth the points? This is a tough call to make. Is it overpriced? Maybe. Can you get rooms at those lodges for points - no, at least not anymore, as while the package is still offered, the lodges are no longer Hilton. Would it be rather expensive to pay cash for those lodge nights? Yes, you'd pay through the nose (someone on this Board has mentioned up to $500 charged to the foreigners, I believe).
I'd say, if the safari in Kenya is what you are craving, and you'd rather save cash (quite a bit of it at that), perhaps this particular award is worth the points, IMHO.
I agree with you Eugene, I thought most of those packages were not worth it, the only exception being the Safari one, perhaps being ok.
I would rather have those packages gones and keep the points at the hotels the same, than have an increase up and down the scale, with these remaining intact!
