Just read that the entire Hilo Hatties chain might be closing

OK...so their product quality and selection have gone downhill, and many of their products are made in southeast Asia (read the labels before you buy), but Hilo Hatties is still an institution and has always been the final stop on every one of my Island visits (my closet is full of chocolates and macadamia nuts I haven't even started eating yet).

They are also a large employer in Hawai'i, and the job loss would be a big negative.
