This isn't my first rodeo with these idiots. I could understand if I was paying a cheap fare or if both tickets were on an award but not for $1200 and this far out. Yes, I should have checked and damn sure will in the future but if they're going to rape me for $300 over this trip that's over 6 months out, that's just pretty sorry. They tell me they can't waive the fee and that's BS. I have had Delta change things before at no charge (and no the errors weren't on my part and no I didn't care much because it was usually on the company's dime). They were on business trips and I usually changed my flight...and magically they could waive the fee if I just asked, and those trips were within a couple of days.

I envy the day I find a job where I'm not a road warrior and don't have to deal with the absolute hell and incompetence of these menial hourly workers that can't do anything right. I don't double check one thing and it's going to cost me $300 because some moron can't key in a date correctly.
