Hilton, Washington DC, Embassy Row, is quite nice, small. The area (Dupont Circle) is very nice, many restaurants etc. The price is O.K.

Don't go - never - to the Hilton Fort Lee, NJ. It looks not bad from the outside. The rooms have the loudest A/C in the whole world. When you can sleep there, you don't need a hotel, sleep on the street or in N.Y Central Station.
