I've been working the OneWorld RTW booking tool extra hours but still didn't manage to find a way to beat the system. I wonder whether it's at all possible. I start with zero tier points and no status, and my goal is to reach Gold by the end of the trip. With some effort, I can make 400+800 points, but I can't make 8 BA segments.

The way I understand it, I'm allowed 4 segments in Europe, plus one BA segment out of and one back into Europe. I could even find a BA marketed AA flight (not sure whether these even count as eligible), but not an eighth segment. Can it be done?

Some information: my itinerary is TLV-AMS-SIN-LAX-PIT-SFO-TLV. What I planned was:
TLV-LHR-AMS (2 segments, 160 TP)
AMS-LHR-NRT (2, 160)
NRT-SIN (0, 120) ==> 4 segments and 440 TP, hence Silver
SIN-HKG-LAX (0, 160)
LAX-DFW-PIT (0, 120)
PIT-JFK-SFO (0, 200)
SFO-LAX-SFO (0, 120)
SFO-ORD-LHR-TLV (2, 240) ==> 840 TP but only 2 segments
