This came from me laughing out loud at my friend in DXB when she told me about boarding the plane via "The Finger". Made me think that there doesn't seem to be a universal accepted word for the jetty via which you board and aircraft.
Wikipedia reckons its a "loading bridge, aerobridge/airbridge, Jetway™, or passenger boarding bridge". I've always known it as a jet bridge myself, what would you call it?
We called them 'The Sleeve' when we were kids.
I use Jetway or Airbridge these days
