I am a few days out from a return NRT-JFK and there is plenty of availability on 06. Will JL ever release first class seats on this flight to AA. If so when and how does one go about securing them?
I am already on 48 but the earlier departure would be much better for me. Is there any way to speak to JAL about this?
Short answer: No. JAL does not make F suites available for redemption even to JAL Mileage Club members.
Long answer: Sometimes they will open up F Suites with 2 weeks of departure. Book into J on JAL5/6 and keep on eye on F availability via the JAL booking tool on jal.com. If it becomes available, then you can "upgrade" with AA.
