Since I posted in the first thread I guess I will post again. If special is the priority, then don't even think about staying at the NY Hilton. I just read an article on the 8 new Luxury hotels in New York in the latest Expedia Travels. The 8 were, the new W Union Square, 60 Thompson in Soho, Dylan Hotel near Grand Central, the Hudson, Chambers, The Muse, The Bryant Park, and the Lbrary Hotel. All sound fantastic except for the Hudson. No points except for the W but they are all hip, boutique, and romantic. The Bryant Park Hotel sounds like they have great views from the 26 story American Radiator Building. Hope this helps.
