On the other hand, seat availability has no effect on your ability to standby - the system can give you a DM card for an overbooked flight. It only has an effect on your ability to actually get a seat on the flight you are standing by for.
I was just looking for stanby on the DAY-ORD only. Also, you are correct, there is no earlier ORD-MCO available to take other than my scheduled flight.
