I am trying to book award tickets from TUL to CUN, departing 7/31 and returning 8/7. NWA.com shows a PerkSaver outbound through IAH on CO for 17,500 miles. There are no PerkSaver returns so I chose a NW PerkPass flight for 25,000 miles. When I try to book, I get an error (Message 150) and a number to call.

I called and explained what I was trying to do, and after a long hold the rep told me I couldn't book these tickets because I can't combine PerkSaver and PerkPass on the same trip. Since there are no itineraries available with PerkSaver both directions she said I would have to book PerkPass both ways which would cost me significantly more miles. Is this correct? This is only the second award trip I've ever booked so I don't really have any frame of reference, but I thought I would check with the experts here before I spent more miles than necessary.
