It sounds like your stay was terrible and something should be done about it. How much time have you given Adam to respond? If he responded that he'd look into it, he should be afford reasonable time to do a good job investigating.

BTW - It's good practice never to leave anything of value out, especially in cars. Not that it is your fault but a good practice to reduce break-ins .
