The first time I ever redeemed a DD miles award ticket, it was free. The second time there was a $5.00 fee. I redemmed 2 tickets for my kids a few months ago and it cost me $30.00 per ticket. Add $95.00 annual fee for the DD miles Visa card and that free ticket cost me $77.50 each. I don't know why the call it an "Award Ticket". I never received any other type of award I had to pay for
