It depends whether or not he's part of Jet Airways' unaccompanied minor program or if he's really travelling alone. Regardless though of the circumstance of his travel, being a UM is fun and exciting (I've been a UM for the last seven years, so I know)!
However, he should know a few things first:
* If the flight has a layover, he should bring something that will not keep him bored during his stay at the airport. Normally, I bring my iPod, my Game Boy Advance SP, 2-3 books and writing materials. If he uses electronic devices, make sure he brings chargers with him.
* If he is part of Jet's UM program, expect him being put in a holding area (usually a UM lounge or a cordoned-off part of the airport departure area) with other UMs. During a layover at NRT, my sister and I were put inside the international connections counter along with two other UMs. Later on, we were moved to a cordoned-off area beside the counters. Since it is the airline's responsibility to take care of him, he normally will not be allowed to explore the terminal.
* Expect him to be among the last to leave the aircraft. I'm not sure about Jet, but on Northwest, UMs usually leave last. Luckily he's in business class, since in Economy, UMs are placed at the back of the plane, where they can be watched by the F/As.
* If he travels alone, he should be able to navigate his way through the airport, know immigration and customs procedures, and be able to get to his gate on time. If he needs help, he can always ask uniformed Jet Airways personnel.
* Make sure he keeps his passport, ticket and any immigration paperwork on his person at all times. If he will be part of Jet's UM program, normally, an assigned F/A (normally the purser) should be in possession of his documents until the flight lands. This will be passed onto another F/A for the next leg, and so on. The documents are given at the final destination to whoever will pick him up by uniformed personnel.
Depending on the circumstances involved, UM flyers can encounter different experiences while flying. However, the F/As are normally very attentive to the needs of unaccompanied minors, and most of the time, they will be treated well. Hopefully he'll enjoy the delight of travelling unaccompanied.
Cheers!
