Then you'd go through without a problem at all in this world. I've often wondered why such a fuss was made about the shoes that people specifically took off their feet, given the rules about nothing allowed above or beneath them, however the shoes that people keep in their bags are otherwise completely ignored save for the x-ray.

And, by the by, medical disposable booties are A-OK to wear through the checkpoint. Just FYI if you're not predisposed to wanting to hike in your bare skin.
