I haven't used the tool much but paid for the app so I could search star alliance awards. I enter 10-18-2009 as my date, clt - fco as my route, pick snt: awards/star alliance and search. I see only USAir, not LH as a possibility, and there are no open award seats at all on US. When I check the US website I see plenty of award seats available, and even at the lowest 'saver' level. No awards when I search PHL - FCO either, but again they are obviously there.
Obviously I'm doing something wrong that didn't jump out to me in the help file, or the program doesn't do what I thought it did.
Where are you seeing a standard *A award for CLT-FCO/18 Oct on US? US DM website is showing only a double-mileage award available:
