Your luggage will be tagged direct to your destination;however you have to collect it at Delhi and lug it to the shuttle bus which leaves you at the crowded International departure area. You have to collect it, hunt for an ever absent luggage cart and then recheck it at the AA counter. This was my experience in Jan 09 and hopefully it will change.
