Granted, I live in San Francisco, so I don't have the outrageous heating/cooling costs folks in outlying areas endure. But looking at the CPUC's figures for typical residential energy usage (for an entire household!), prices per Kwh after the latest round of rate increases, etc., I still find it very difficult to believe a hotel room can possibly account for that much.
