I was about to head to the airport on my way to NY and wanted to check my hotel reservations -- a prepaid rate at the Westin Jersey City. It didn't show up in my list, and it had just earlier this morning (reflecting an upgrade, no less), so I checked the "cancelled reservation" list and there it was!
The cancellation number was all 9's, and the details didn't reflect the pre-paid plan, rate, etc in any way - even the confirmation number was different (ending in 30, when the real one ended in 81). A quick call to the hotel produced an answer that the reservation was still there, but this is pretty weird, so I have to ask -- SPG.com issue? weird phantom problem? or what?
I'd get over being walked, if that's what this is, but I'd rather not discover this late at night in Jersey City
